Also known as otoplasty, it is surgery that seeks to improve the shape, proportion and position of the ear. Like the nose, the auricular shape is inherited or altered by trauma or previous interventions.

Not only prominent or large ears but also malformed or very small ears (microtia) can be treated with this intervention, generally with local anesthesia and outpatient treatment. Recovery: It is recommended to use a head bandage for the first few days after surgery. There are no scars since the stitches are done behind the ear and are removed after 10 days.
