What is a body composition analysis?
Body composition refers to the components of our body, and the sum of these parts makes up weight. Studying body composition means analyzing each of these components. Among many existing analysis methods, the method used by Inbody is Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA), and it divides the human body into 4 components: Total Body Water, Fat Mass, Minerals and Proteins.
InBody is a professional medical device that provides us with precise measurement of all these values through 8 touch electrodes, thus obtaining the results of each body segment.
When in contact (hands and feet) with these electrodes, an imperceptible electrical current flows through the patient's body that allows measuring the amount of water in the body and thus determining the person's body composition and analysis of each segment. (amount of muscle, fat mass, visceral fat, fat-free mass, fluid)
